Position Available: Agricultural and Horticultural Mobile Plant Operator

Number of Positions Available: 1
Location: Warkworth, Rodney
Payrate: $30 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40

Key Requirements:

• At least 3 years of relevant experience.
  or
• Level 4 or above qualification in related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain tractors and other mobile farm equipment for feeding, fertilising, spraying, and general farm tasks
• Assist with repairs, cleaning, and servicing of machinery and implements
• Follow health and safety protocols while working with large equipment in livestock areas
• Support general farm activities when not operating machinery
• Maintain accurate records of machine hours, fuel use, and maintenance schedules

Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40

Key Requirements:

• At least 6 months of hands-on relevant experience.
  or
• Level 2 or above relevant qualification.
• Physically fit and willing to work flexible hours including weekends and early mornings

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily milking routines and operate milking machinery
• Feed, monitor, and care for dairy cattle, including young stock and calving support
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in milking parlour, sheds, and yards
• Assist with pasture management, fencing, and minor repairs
• Observe and report animal health issues to supervisors
• Follow farm safety, hygiene, and animal welfare standards
