About the Role:

We’re looking for a reliable and driven Farm & Operations Manager to act as a key support to ownership and help oversee the daily flow of work across both orchard operations and the fruit packing facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, can juggle competing priorities, and has the leadership skills to guide teams through peak agricultural seasons.

You’ll be involved in everything from fieldwork planning to packing line coordination, ensuring operations run smoothly while supporting the transition into a more systemized and scalable business model.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchard Operations
  • Assist in planning daily field tasks such as spraying, irrigation, pruning, thinning, and harvest
  • Coordinate movement of crews, equipment, and materials across multiple orchard blocks
  • Monitor execution and ensure work is completed efficiently and to quality standards
  • Support equipment scheduling, maintenance, and repair needs
  • Help manage seasonal labor, ensuring strong team communication and accountability
  • Packing House Support
  • Coordinate with packing supervisors to align fruit flow, shift schedules, and labor needs
  • Support problem-solving on the floor during busy packing periods
  • Ensure efficient communication between sales, logistics, and packing operations
  • Monitor operational flow to identify and address bottlenecks or inefficiencies
  • Cross-Departmental Oversight
  • Bridge communication between farming, packing, compliance, housing, and logistics
  • Ensure timely updates are shared between departments and issues are escalated when needed
  • Help implement systems to improve consistency, reduce dependency on ownership, and boost productivity
  • Strategic & Administrative Support
  • Track work progress, inputs, and performance data to support better planning
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency, savings, or improved team coordination
  • Take initiative in solving problems and proposing solutions, with a long-term mindset

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in agricultural operations, farm management, packing facilities, or related industries
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Confident leading teams and keeping people accountable
  • Able to manage high-pressure periods and multiple moving parts
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic and a desire to grow with the company
  • Spanish-speaking ability is an asset but not required
